"The Week of CurlyPops" day 7.
So the dying was quite successful. I think I might have to find some more pieces to dye red. The colour is much richer than these photos show, a real christmassy red. The top zig zag one was actually yellow. I love dying this one as the fibre content is cotton for one lot of zig zags and rayon for the other, so the dying takes differently.
I'm off to an antiques and collectables fair today. Putting it out to the collectables gods that I'm looking for a vintage laundry sprinkler! Wish me luck!

Oh my , that has turned out so well!! Love the zig zag effect!
Hope you find some lovelies at the fair, I'm very envious!
What a glorious colour ! That turned out beautifully !
Great job Seina, it's perfect! Love the zigzag too.xo
I love the way the colour has picked up differently in the zig zags. Now you have a one off compeltely unique piece of chenille!
Wow its just gorgeous! Makes me want to pull out the dye pot and sneak around the house looking for things to plunge into it!
Oh Selina GORGEOUS! Isn't that fab how the zig zag has a mind of it's own so to speak! Totally LOVE what you've accomplished, well done. Have a fun day at the fair!
In the old days of "damping down" prior to ironing, in the pre steam iron era, we used to get a bottle and bash holes in the lid with a nail. Then we used a spray bottle, you know the ones from the $2 shops?
Hope you find what you're looking for at the fair - or better still even something you weren't!
What great results from your dyeing. I suppose you never know quite what to expect so it's a real bonus when it goes so well.
