what a week

The lack of posts this week has been due to lack of crafting, hospital visits and general feelings of unwellness (is that even a word??).

Handmade Heaven however had a very successful week for it's first official week of trade, and I was lucky enough to share in that success. Two of my lovely quilts were snapped up which meant for me last weekend I was in lockdown to produce some more.
Silly me didn't take photos of all of them. I managed to finish putting together a lap quilt made of gorgeous pastel boutique chenille that I love. Hope it goes to a great home!
I also wanted to add

Happy Birthday Mum!

You are a superstar!

Yes, Lora! Lora has been a loyal stalker for awhile now. Congratulations Lora, if you could send me an email with your address, I can pop your needlecase into the post for you.

Thanks everyone for entering and stalking, please keep coming back , I would hate to be sitting here just talking to myself.

Sunday Stash #4

More pinks this week.

Hofmann, Morgan Jones and another Morgan Jones. I lurve the Morgan Jones. These pieces are some of my absolute favourites. One of them was a birthday gift from a special chenille buddy. So hard to capture the true beauty of these pieces.

There is still time to enter my 100 post giveaway here. I will announce the winner later on today.

Love from CurlyPops

100 posts! Wow! And what a great 6 months it's been. I really love this bloggy thing!

I was on my way home thinking about what would be a good post for the official 100, and in my mailbox was a lovely package of goodies from CurlyPops. Just because. So the perfect way to celebrate reaching 100 posts with love from someone I haven't even met! See, this is why I love blogging. How good is it to share the crafty love around the world!

So thank you Cam, and thank you everyone for coming back time and again to check out my little patch of the web. I do read every single comment that you leave, even if I don't get to reply to all. Thanks for letting me bore you all with my little chenille obsession. I really appreciate it!

Edit- oh and don't forget to enter the 100 post giveaway here, you've got until Sunday, so hurry up!

my creative space...

Oh so close to 100!

Today I've got plans for vintage chenille baby quilts in gorgeous colours of pink and grey, my favourite colour combination at the moment. I love these ones, so soft and gorgeous. Once done will head off to Handmade Heaven and hopefully someone will love the pink and grey as much as I do!

Also trying to get a few needlecases done for my shop.

And preparing for a few days of nothing next week with some stitchery.

More creative peeps over here.

And don't forget about my giveaway here.

very close to 100

100 is getting ever so close!

Today is the first official day of trade in Handmade Heaven! Yay! As usual I left things until the last minute before setting up my spot. Well, my wonderful merchandiser (a.k.a my Mother) set it up for me.

Here are my quilts draped over the perfect accessory for them, a gorgeous vintage suitcase. This was Liesa's suggestion, and I think it looks fab!

Thanks Mum for all your help, you truly rock!

Oh, and don't forget to enter my giveaway!

Almost 100

So I realised just before that I am very close to 100 blog posts! And you all know what that means..... giveaway time!

I know, I know, I just had a giveaway, but this is a special one. You don't get to 100 everyday now do you.

I was going to put this needlecase in the shop, but instead I am giving it away. This giveaway is going to go a little differently from my others. I want some love! Let me know in the comments of this post what you like about my blog. It can be simple like "I like vintage stuff" or whatever you fancy. For bonus entry, become a follower. Pop another comment in after you've done so for your bonus entry. This is open to anyone.

I'm going to leave this open for a week, so next Sunday pop back in to see if you've won. In the mean time I would have hit the 100. Woo hoo!

Sunday Stash #3

Joining in with the stashers again.

Pink vintage chenille, these are some of my favourites.

Cabin Crafts and Morgan Jones.

Handmade Heaven

I'm pleased to announce that I will be joining a heap of other 'Handmadies' in setting up space at Handmade Heaven for my chenille creations.

This is quite an exciting venture for me, and one I hope goes well for myself and everyone involved. I will have my vintage chenille baby quilts and possibly some vintage chenille teddy bears in the shop. Thanks Liesa for the opportunity to be involved in this.

I will show you all some photos of my space when everything has been set up. In the meantime here is a pic of the shop (that I stole from the Handmade Heaven blog, I'm sure Liesa won't mind!).

Go and check out the blog to see who else is coming along for the ride.

Shop update

New needlecase added to my shop. This one has a little pocket for your scissors as well.

Hoping to add a few more tomorrow.

Sunday Stash #2

Thought I'd continue with the brown vintage chenille theme from last week. I have so many.

White rosebud on taupe from Morgan Jones, and gorgeous two tone brown flowers, probably from a peacock chenille.

More stashers over here.

i ♥ creative spaces

I've been given quite a few more hours at work this week than usual, so not much creating going on.

Lots of thinking, not much doing. Thinking about needlecases, and modifying softie patterns.

Thanks for heart challenge Kirsty, can you see my hearts?

Seems my little coin purse has got herself some attention.

Featured over at foundhandmade. Doesn't she look sweet with all those other cute little coin purses.

and the winner is......

How much fun was it to check out all the blogs participating in the Sew Mama Sew giveaway!

I've visited random.org and they have told me the winner is....

Comment number 3... Christina Lowry!

Thanks everyone for entering, I was a little blown away by how many people actually thought my prizes were worthy!

I've still got one needlecase left in my etsy shop, and there are some chenille squares in my ebay store, if you're interested.
