Blogtoberfest Day 7
Not much going on today. The only pressing thing is grocery shopping. So after that's done, I will (hopefully!) sew up a skirt using this vintage tablecloth and very '80's skirt pattern. I'm hoping it will stay overcast as it is now, I always seem to get more in the sewing mood when it's overcast or lightly raining. Is anyone else like that, or is it just me?

I know how you feel Selina,
I work from my converted garden shed(the workwomb)and I find it comforting to listen to the rain and have the fairy lights on, with all my bits around me.
It makes me feel comforted and relaxed, and feeling like there is no better place to be, or thing to do

I'm in the basement when I sew, so I don't care what it's like outside, though I do find it's a great reason to go down there to "cool off" when it's hot out or to go in there, close the door and crank my tiny little heater just to heat that room only rather than turn the heat on for the entire house. Basically, I can make a good excuse out of anything to go down there and sew. :)
I need a bit of sunshine to give me motviation to work. If it's too dreary, I just want to curl up on the couch and watch telly.
I want to sew all day, no matter what the weather :)
love that tablecloth...
that overcast weather...nice for cocooning...and making pots of tea, and being crafty..yes I agree!
Nope. I cant say that the weather affects me like that. Actually, come to think of it, because the weather's all over the place, I am.
p.s. I have that exact same cloth, :)
That sure looks like a perfect tablecloth for a skirt. You won't even have to hem it which is the worst part. Tablecloths are a winner in my books!
that pattern looks great! I tend to sew once the kiddies are asleep so it's dark anyway! Hope you had a good sewing day anyway...;-)
Yep... it sure is easier to sew when it is raining :) Strange, but true.
