Day 3: Vintage fabric find
Well, actually not a find, a gift. Yes, that's right, someone gave me this beautiful piece of vintage fabric. I think it's the most beautiful piece ever. There is about 3 metres and it's a beautiful medium weight crepe (?) type fabric. (Correct me if I'm wrong Mum!)
As soon as I saw it I thought skirt. I dug through my vintage patterns and came up with these. Not sure now, skirt or dress? Decisions, decisions.
Mmmm, probably should have ironed the fabric before taking a photo. Oh, who am I kidding, there is no way I'm going to iron that!

Dress, then you'll have a complete outfit and it'll be easier to accessorize! Although it might be hard to cut fabric with a pattern like that to suit a dress ...? It's a lovely fabric and will look gorgeous whatever you do with it!
As you say - decisions, decisions... I don't know how it would go with one of the patterns on the bias though...then again, it could create an interesting effect?
Yes! That fabric is gorgeous and I can see a skirt...and as Jay said why not a dress ... The large, lovely floral pattern side of the fabric would be the hem...perfect and if you are tall, use another piece of the floral border for the top. Anything you make from this fabric would be just beautiful! Can't wait to see what you do with it!

I would use it sideways to make the most of the border like flowers. Good luck in choosing which pattern to use.
Grr just lost my comment. So summary:
1. Love that material
2. LOVE your new hair style, not that I saw the old one but you look like one hot mumma. Or sister, apparently!
3. Ooooh, I say dress. Those vintage patterns are fabulous and I think the button-down, tie-waisted numbers are the way to go.
4. You're going to look like a bombshell!
Gorgeous! My vote is for the dress on the far left.
Gorgeous fabric - I'm with super pops on the dress on the left. Will set off your super new do!
Great fabric, a dress would be the go I think and I agree, the one on the left. The you always have a whole outfit and don't need to find another part to match!!
Lucky you! It has a ready made border too, which made me think skirt, but a dress would be good too! No use asking me I can never make my mind up! Suzie. x :)
The green dress on the second pattern is gorgeous. I can see something like that made out of this fabric too. I'm with Gina, you will look like a bombshell! :)
