I've had a few very successful weeks of op shopping lately. I've managed to find clothes, fabric, tablecloths destined to be skirts. And Miss 12 has been feeding her new found sock doll obsession with heaps of fluffy bed socks and cutsie baby socks, all for very little money.
I had seen this gorgeous kidmohair jumper/dress a couple of weeks ago, when it started to get hot. They wanted $10 for it, and as much as I liked it, I knew it wasn't something I could wear until next year, so I put it back. When we went in the other day, it was still there, and it was half price! Yay! $5 I could justify. This photo is terrible, but it is a gorgeous plum/purple colour, one of my favourite colours.
The apple and pear fabric there is actually a wrap skirt, but I loved the fabric so much I had to take it. $1.50, can you believe it!
I love op shops!

Wow! Great finds :) K
That top is lovely - great shape!
I don't know if it's just the area where I live, but you just can't find anything under $10 at the two op-shops in my neighbourhood! Although I'm not a particularly seasoned op-shopper, admittedly. I once told my mother (somewhat facetiously) that I wanted a purple duffle coat with a faux-fur lined hood ... and she found one the next day for $3. She recently find a green one for my son ... bit big but next winter we'll be able to head out all dorkily in our matching purple and green duffles, hee. :D
That plum top/jumper is amazing!
I love the purple number! Yay for you.
I love op shopping wins too - It is great to go without any expectations and hopefully find some nice treasures. The sock dolls sound fun - I will have to look back on your blog for pics.
Great op shop finds...
Love the apple and pear skirt....
I just love that pear and apple skirt! Are you going to wear it or use the fabric to make something?
Come over to mine and enter my 100th blog giveaway if you've got a chance!
Ok, silly American here... what's an op shop?
I'm thinking it's similar to what we call a thrift store.
(or a second-hand store, or a consignment shop, or something else)
hehe! Yes an op shop (or opportunity shop) is what you guys call a thrift store. I don't know if your thrift stores support charities, but usually ours do, hence the name.
Selina.
