So the real countdown for me has begun. In 12 weeks exactly we will be heading to the airport, about to board a plane for France. Honestly, I am starting to freak out a little. I spent a rather restless night stressing over silly things last night. Am I going to have enough spending money? How much is enough spending money? Will I have the right clothes? What sort of bag should I have to deter pickpockets? And the thing I am stressing about the most, will I be fit enough to get all I can out of this adventure? Regular readers may remember all the way back here how I started walking in order to get fit for this trip. Well here, the weather has had other ideas. It has rained constantly for months, no joke. So my walking went completely out the window. But I'm determined to try something, if only to stop my brain from keeping me awake at night stressing! Feel free to pull me up every now and then with a very stern, "how's that exercise coming along hmmm?". Wish me luck, I think I'm going to need it.

so very exciting, how lucky. you need to get some serious sleep uninterrupted by stray thoughts. keep a notebook with you always so you can get the idea out of your head and onto paper, then you will relax. if you haven't found it already check out this blog

oh! exciting! we were in France just before Christmas...it was COLD! BUT you are going when it will be a bit warmer I think! Have you been before? One thing about Paris be prepared to be asked for money...all the time, we were asked so much. But take clothes you feel comfortable in! You will have an amazing time! all the best with the final plans!

Wow that is so exciting ! You are going to love Paris. It is such a beautiful place, with so much history and culture. There is lots of walking but I found I was so excited to be there that tired legs were not going to stop me. I'm sure it will be same for you. Although we found the Metro easy to navigate if you do need to give your legs a bit of a rest. Have a great time :)

Dear Selina, if you are tired when visiting Paris, have a rest here:

I spent the afternoon there with 'ma fille' and we came out refreshed, relaxed and with the impression to have spent our time in north Africa!

You'll be fine! Just get the walks in when you can, it will all be fine in the end. And, well, always err on the side of too much money- after all, it is the trip of a lifetime! You're going to have a ball.

PS. Thanks midge for the recommendation!
PPS. Some nice photos there ;)

OH my giddy aunt! You lucky, lucky duck!!Don't worry to much about packing...you end up wearing the same few outfits over and over. And make sure you just allow some time to sit and watch the people go by...preferably in Laduree or some such exquisate shop. Enjoy the anticipation :)

Oh you'll have a wonderful time, there are plenty of pavement cafes so make use of them. Coffee and a pastry always refreshes you and you can watch Paris stroll by.
