The most patient swap partner ever

Well, that would be Sofia. After a few bad weeks I finally got around to finishing off my apron for Sarah's swap (quite late) and Sofia informs me that it has arrived safe and sound. So now I can show it off.

Even though Sofia's blog is in Portuguese, you can't help but tell that she loves butterflies. So I wanted to include butterflies somehow into her apron. I found a great vintage table runner on etsy that had the prettiest butterfly embroidery on it and I went from there. With my laundry obsession in full flight I also knew I wanted to make her a peg apron. And this is the end result. I loved how it turned out and have even considered doing a tutorial for another one. Anyone interested?

These aren't the best photos. It was an overcast day when I finally finished it and I just wanted to hurry up and get it in the post! Hopefully Sofia will have some better ones on her blog.

Thanks again Sarah for organising such a fun swap!

What a beautiful apron Selina. I love how you have used a runner for the pocket. I also think a peg apron is a good idea and think I should make one for myself too. Well done on a great swap, even if it was a little late.

OMG Selina your apron is gorgeous. As I was reading your post, I was thinking what a brilliant idea for a peg apron - I need one badly... so I nearly jumped off my chair when you hinted at a tutorial... yes please, please, please.
