my creative space...

Still working on the Kinder Girl. All that's left is the assembly. I have loved making this dolly. Jodies pattern writing ability is fabulous. Very easy to follow, I haven't even had to ask Jodie for help!

Hopefully after I get all the tedious chores out of the way today, I can finish her off.

I just love the little face, I must admit though, I am a little worried about embroidering the facial features, I hope I can do her justice. I can see many more little Kinder Girls in the future. The doctors flannel arrived yesterday, and I'm already planning the next one.

More action going on here.

You know, strangely enough, as she is in various bits and pieces all over your creative space, I already find her rather endearing. Good luck with stitching in the features.

She is looking gorgeous. Faces can be tricky and can change the look of a doll, but can also add your own personal stamp. Have a go!

She is very cute! You are very good embroidering her face, exactly when you were told to in the instructions ... I might have done mine even before sewing (embroidery scares me) ... hence I have a kinder boy with a flat face!

Very sweet...You are so patient with her I would inevitably rush and screw her up lol...

She is looking great.
Why not draw a few faces on scrap paper and try them on the dolly.
Then when you get one you like put pins in it at the important points, rip off the paper and use them as markers....
Gee I hope that makes sense ....

I too get nervous on the embroidery, but I think you will do a great job. Show her to us when you're done :-)

Oooh, this gives me courage... I spent some time yesterday looking at my kinder boy pattern and getting excited about making some boy dolls. I'm most nervous about actually attaching the limbs, so I'll look forward to hearing how that goes!

Your girl is looking great Selina... for a girl with pieces everywhere that is!! But I guess what I mean is that her pieces all look good.

The face is the scary bit, especially when you've done all that work and the face is the end bit. I used a water soluabl marker to get the positioning right, if that helps. Good luck.

She looks lovely already, unfinished! I know what you mean about the face! I do them all the time and I still get nervous! Suzie. xxx
