my creative space...

I was a bit worried there for a while that I wouldn't have anything to show for the very first creative space of 2010, but with Miss 12 back at school yesterday, and it being too hot to really do much else, I sat in the air-con and did a bit of stitching. Valentine stitching to be precise. I have had the idea of making some rustic little stitched hearts backed with chenille and filled with lavender for some time, so I made a start yesterday. Whether or not these end up for sale in my shop in time for Valentines day is another matter entirely!

I also started stitching something that has also been on my mind for a little while, it had me cracking up all day. Hopefully there will be more progress shots of that one next week.

Head over to the creative space Queen and see what she has going on. Looks very cool.

Oh, crikey - thanks for the reminder! Thing is, it's also the anniversary tomorrow. That's a lot of romance to try and pack into a couple of weeks...

(looking forward to seeing the what's-cracking-you-up stitchery!)

Love the stitchery Selina. That colour is just divine against the linen tone. It will be snapped up as soon as it hits the shop, I'm sure. :) K

I love the stitching! I have a few stitchy heart ideas floating around too, and I was hoping to get a couple in the shop, but I'm thinking it might be more likely to expect them for *next* year's Valentine's Day. :)

Hi Selina. I haven't dropped by in ages so I'm guessing your header is not new? Well, either way... veeeery cute teddy up there! You sure know how to bring out the best in a scrap of chenille! I'm off to look around in your Etsy store now.
