my creative space...

This week my creative space is the lounge room floor. I've managed to cut out all the squares for the quilt for the hairdresser. I'm not too sure how I feel about it yet. Have to send photos to the hairdresser and see if it all meets his approval.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Just had to share my gorgeous op shop finds today.

I love the enamel lidded dish! I also managed to pick up a whole bag full of vintage patterns that most will probably end up in my eBay store.



I also ducked into Spotlight and picked up these gorgeous fabrics. Not too sure what to use them for.....but just couldn't resist.

eBay, how I love thee

When all fails, head to eBay. When I have a particular project in mind, and a certain look in my head, I find it very hard to find the exact fabric I'm looking for! eBay usually comes through in my time of need.
And of course all selvedges will be donated to a very worthy cause ;)

my creative space...

Jumping on the band wagon, thought I'd join in on 'my creative space'. Please forgive me if I don't link correctly properly or something, still finding my feet! Thanks to Kirsty for the theme.

In my space I have a few things going on, trying to finish a custom order quilt for a fabulous hairdresser who loves leopard print. Quite the challenge! Being distracted from said quilt by 'Parisian' quilt, (see previous post) and loving eyeing off my vintage finds from last weeks op shop trek.

distractions

Why is it when you have something that you should be doing, there is always something else that draws you away. I have a custom order quilt that I should be doing, and while cutting the black minkee for it, a gorgeous little 'Parisian' quilt popped into my head. I can't get it out. It's consuming me.

Of course this means I need to buy more fabric. Of course.

For lack of a better name, selina's vintage it is. I decided that 2009 is the year of me, and what better way to do that than start a blog. This will be some of me, not all, there are some bits no one needs to hear about! So keeping in that spirit, This is me.
